amplification for microarray analysis - (Nov/30/2013 )

Hey all,

I was wondering whether all microarray (applied for gene expression) techniques perform an DNA/RNA amplification. Does anyone know anything about it? Or could one perform RNAseq without amplification? And how "bad" are these amplification steps, meaning do they introduce a high bias?

Hi, I would like to know whether the thumb button in the MCG for TM Warthog/Cougar is a four position hat, or whether it is just a button that you can only press down? Thanks .
