tumour dissociation - how to do it? - (Nov/05/2013 )

Hi

Do anybody know working protocol for tumour (mice colon cancer) dissociation resected from mouse? I need to establish cell line.

Any protocol for establishment from an embryo or tissue should work well.  The usual way to go about it is to mince the tissue into small pieces, digest for some time in collagenase, then plate the bits out onto a culture surface.  You may need to play with medium formulations, FBS%, other additives depending on the tumour type.
