book about molecular biology technics? - (Oct/23/2013 )
Could you please recommend me a good and complete book with nice figures and schemes about molecular biology technics?
Not something like Sambrook with protocols. I need a book with the basis, background and fundaments that could be helpful for teaching.
But Sambrook et al. does contain the fundamentals as well as the protocols...
Have you tried the NCBI bookshelf?
Sambrooks helps, but it has just the very basic fundaments and don’t contain nice color figures. I want a book to be in the library for the beginners to be introduced in the molecular biology technics.

Why do you need colour figures? If the images get the point across, then surely the job is done... I find, for beginner teaching purposes, the fundamentals are what you need, anything over and above that is just filling the gaps and often not that useful.
Have a search on google books - my first hit was a book all about molecular biology and biotechnology.
I don't know this book, but from a short look at some pages in Google books it might be useful for your purpose:
If anyone else has any suggestions, I'm also interested in a good recommendation
