PCR Primer trouble - (Oct/02/2013 )

A small distraction...

I accidentally dropped an ice fragment inside a primer eppendorf tube while using the micropipette! 

The technicians stored it in the freezer (-20ºC).....is the primer still usable? Contaminated? Will I be able to remove the fragment with a small set of sterilized tweezers?  

It's possibly contaminated, but otherwise likely simply diluted somewhat. It may be usable if not contaminated. You won't be able to remove the ice, since the primer solution will be frozen (I'm assuming the primer was already dissolved).

I thought so too!

Fortunately I was able to work with the same primer from another dilution.
