Conversion of linear axis to logarithmic axis in FCS file - (Sep/29/2013 )

The x axis in my FCS file is linear and I want to convert it to logarithmic axis. Does anybody know how?

I'm pretty sure when I saved my files on BD Accuri software they were logarithmic, but now that I open the files with Cyflogic free online software they are not in logarithmic format, most probably because they were not saved well in logarithmic format. I don't think the problem is with Cyflogic.

I don't know if Cyflogic can do that, but if I remember correctly the program I use (FlowJo) can display the file with linear or logarithmic axes regardless of how you originally saved it (for data coming from FACSCalibur at least, but Accuri is relatively new, so should have this too)

BTW, did you save in FCS 2.0 or FCS 3.0 format ?

good question, I think I saved in FCS 3.0 format. I did a search online, and apparently FCS 3.0 saves data in linear format only. But FCS 2.0 can save in both log and linear. is that right? I am downloading the trial version of FlowJo right now. According to its website it can change the scale from linear to logarithmic.

I just know that I recently looked at the menu from FACSCanto and I think I saw something like that (with FCS 2.0 apparently you could choose between the two, and with FCS 3.0 not), but I'm not too sure. I also  definitely had FCS 3.0 data displayed in biexponential view in FlowJo, so downloading the trial version of FlowJo is probably really your best bet at the moment.

thank you
