Weighing harvested cells - (Sep/24/2013 )

Hi Folks,

I've a bit of an odd question. A collaborator of mine needs 100mg of cells for an experiment he is about to run, so I'm providing the cells.

I just wanted to ask if anyone has had any experience with how many T-175 flasks would be necessary for this (I'm using IMR90 human fibroblasts).

The last time I split my cells I found I got nearly 50 mg from one almost confluent T-175, but I'm more than a bit skeptical of this number, so any input would be greatly appreciated!

Figure out your OD. You could easily calculate "mg" of cells from this number.
