Temperature Variation on Cell Growth Experiment - (Sep/23/2013 )

Hi. I'm trying to do a temperature variation on cell growth conditions experiment, but I've hit a roadblock in the experimental design. What I need: Accurate, adjustable, heating device for cell culture in 35mm tissue culture dishes. Require at least 10 different temperature conditions to fit in a 13inch by 17 inch space. Digital temperature gauge, and built in thermostat to maintain a set temperature despite environmental fluctuations is a must.

Does anyone know of a good technical solution for this set up? I can't think of what to use other than hot plates. Also to clarify I'm heating the cells through the plastic, ie putting a heater underneath the 35mm dishes.

Sounds like you need a custom built device for that - try looking up for DIY microscope stage heater boxes.
