if I have very fragmented dna, then mean for others group(lane) also have same with me? since all DNA at bottom part but not at origin.

If most are the fragmented dna, then what can I do to solve this problem?(in order to get high quality dna.)

it looks like that is the case. genomic dna is fragile and can be fragmented by vigorous vortexing as well as by acid.

what is the apparent size of the band (i don't know what the ladder sizes are)? they appear to be very small. maybe they're something else (like trna)?

1 kb DNA ladder is used.
Thank you for you replying^^.. It really helpful.

yes, the gel picture says that it is a 1kb ladder, but not which one and doesn't label the bands by size.

your samples all seem to run at about the same size as the lowest visible band of the ladder. depending on the ladder (and its load) that could be anywhere from ~100bp to 1kbp.
