Primary culture of breast tumor cells - (Oct/25/2012 )

I am looking for someone who has experience on the primary culture of breast cancer. I need a specific protocol on how to handle this kind of primary culture.

most methods for primary cultures of tumor/cancer cells are similar. I did brain tumor cell culture. some people use trypsin to separate cells from each other but I didn't. I just cut the sample to very small pieces with a blade and grew them in RPMI. Some people use strainer to remove bigger pieces. I just have to warn you that the risk of contamination is very high. and make sure you don't use all of your sample in the first attempt.
