SURE E. coli competent cells - (Sep/07/2012 )

Hi guys,

I remember reading somewhere about a special technique to make competent SURE E. coli (because these mutant strains are harder to make competent). I can't seem to find that reference now. Does anyone know what the name of that special technique is? If I remember correctly it's named after a scientist that discovered it.... or even better....If you have the protocol that you don't mind posting, I would really appreciate that also.
