blocking Dynabeads with BSA - (Sep/06/2012 )

I wonder why authurs in journals recommend pre-blocking dynabeads by BSA, while the Company of Invitrogen says that "BSA blocking may not be very successful, as surface adsorption is not promoted between the hydrophilic bead surface and the hydrophobic BSA."

I also could never fully block my beads with BSA. it was like BSA isn't enough. But what to do? I would recommend doing both and compare.

This is another example that biologists works nowaday with blind eays in their lab.
