myc-tagged proteins - (Aug/30/2012 )

I'm trying to decide whether or not to include a myc tag on my protein. We want to do protein binding studies, but will the myc tag cause a problem?

There's no way to tell other than to make the tag and compare to an untagged or differently tagged version. I have found that tags interfere with the localization of my current protein of interest.
