Help with BOND Polymer Refine Detection Kit - (Jul/17/2012 )
Hi all,
I am a newbie in immunohistochemistry and want to use the BOND Polymer Refine Detection System. I am not sure what other reagents and paraphernalia maybe needed other than the kit itself, so a list of items necessary would be awesome...! Also, if someone who has used this system before can post a protocol associated with it, that would be great. No one has done IHC before in the lab so I will need ideas as to all necessary components that I may need...
Any help appreciated! Thanks in advance!
this instruction sheet should give you all the information you need:
bond polymer refine detection
Thanks, mdfenko!
I was wondering is this kit used in conjunction with the BOND automated system only? We are going to get paraffin-embedded tissue samples on slides and then we will do the IHC in the lab. Will this work? What other good IHC kits are out there, esp ones that use polymer based detetction systems?
it would appear that the kits were designed to be used exclusively with the bond systems. you may be able to use them manually but may not be able to match the precision (eg timing, volume, temperature) of the bond system.
kits are not always necessary. you could find a protocol in the literature or from a colleague (that's what we did).
ok Thanks!
