Proving v-oncogenes are responsible for tumorigenicity - (Apr/01/2012 )
So I have to prove that v-oncogenes, in case of RNA tumor viruses, are directly responsible for tumorigenicity.
I plan on
1. using an expression vector, transfect viral genetic sequences into cells and see if they proliferate.
2 I'm next going to use either antisense RNA or anti-protein abs to inhibit growth if there is any caused by the RNA tumor virus.
My question is , when I transfect viral genes should I use RNA or cDNA?
Thanks.

You would use it in a form that will result in the transfection having the same effect as the virus entering the cell...
