Size selection beads - (Nov/02/2011 )

Hi,

I've recently been using some size selection magnetic beads (ampure and aline). I was wondering if anyone could explain how they work? I know that you can change the lengths of the fragment you select for by varying the concentration of beads but how exactly does this perform size selection?
