ROS measurement - (Oct/28/2011 )

Hi,
Because my cells are GFP-labelled, I am looking for the best alternative to DCF-DA assay. I have just seen a paper about the "luminol-dependent chemiluminescence assay" for ROS measurement. I dont know whether it works in GFP-labelled cells or I wonder if theres any other methods to quantify ROS production in my cells....???

Thanks a lot.

There are a number of different probes that you can use depending on the type of free radicals you are targeting. Here's a list I found from invitrogen website http://www.invitrogen.com/site/us/en/home/References/Molecular-Probes-The-Handbook/tables/Reactive-oxygen-species.html .

Thanks a lot Zienpiggie for the package of information; the web link seems worthy for me.

By the way, it would be nice if one of us have done expts in a similar settings (using GFP labelled cells) and would like to share the experience.
