Is it possible to raise an antibody against a 11aa peptide? - (Aug/26/2011 )

This peptide seems without any predicted secondary structure.

Although, there's a 7aa conserved motif.

Is there other method I can use to detect such a short peptide in the cell? I want to know it's sub-cellular localization.
Any advice is welcome!

Thanks!!

I've seen people raising antibodies against 5-7 AA peptides by conjugating them with carrier protein.

I have made many antibodies using short 10-15AA peptides. KLH couple your peptide prior to immunization. Consider adding a Cys residue to your peptide sequence to allow you to use sulfo-link based resins for antibody purification.
