What tools do you use when weighing out micro grams of a solid white powder? - (Jul/17/2011 )

Hello, I was wondering if there are any good tips or tools that are used( special spatulas or something) that are used to put very small amounts of white powders onto a micro scale, then off of the microscale into solution. The problem is the amounts are so small that it is :
a ) hard to get a small amount from the small bottle to the weigh boat with the paper on top.
b ) it is impossible to move the powder from the weigh boat into the eppendorph tube ensuring that all of the powder has been transfered.

I was wondering if there are special tools or procedures that are used for these issues.
Thanks

I directly weigh in the Eppendorf tube and use a not too heavy lid with high enough rim as mount for the tube.

and you can use a microspatula- stainless steele with pointed or tapered tips so you can deposit the powder easily into the bottom of the tube...
