【help】need a software for promoter prediction - need a software for promoter prediction (Jun/08/2011 )

I know some promoter consensus sequence of some genes for one microorganism. I want to use this sequence to predict the putative promoters in another microorganism. What software can i use?

But I did not see where I can put in the known consensus sequence from the known strain (Or: trainning)??

if you are using one sequence as training set, i would say it is too less to begin with. If you have motifs which you suspect to be functional, you can run a sliding window through genome, and give your requirements(say 3 motifs, or distance between them, etc), and find candidates. Since your sequence is only one, you can try to find similar sequence in the your target organism, and find some candidates.
