Hi all,
I see in a paper showing 5E+03 cells migrating, how much do they mean? What is E?
Many thanks,

This is floating point representation (originally from Fortran) for 5 x 10^3, or 5000.

If you want to see the real number such as 0.00004 rather than that symbol, you can "format" the cell by right click and choose the Number and decimal.

E means 'Exponent' to the base 10.
so E+03 means 10 to the power +3.
