Whats meant by common sequence varients? I goggled it but it get it?

They are variations in genetic code, which are pretty common in a population. Technically, these are mutations, like single base changes, insertion-deletions etc., but are commonly found across a population.

Thus a Single Nucleotide Polymorphism (SNP) is a CSV.
