HEK 293 Trypsin vs. only EDTA - (Mar/29/2011 )

Hey All,
I was thinking since HEK 293 cells are not that adherent that I could only use EDTA in place of Trypsin+EDTA to remove the cells from the walls of my culture dishes (100mm Falcon). Has anyone had and positive or negative experiences with this. Thanks!

5mM EDTA work very well to detach 293 cells, you don't need Trypsin.
