Hi, all,
I wonder why I should use collagenase, not trypsin to dissociate primary cells to infect them with retrovirus.
Any references or comment will be appreciated.

I suppose there is potential for trypsin to damage the surface proteins required for infection (unlikely in my opinion). Trypsinizing can destroy some surface proteins enough to make them not bind FACS antibodies.
