Tritium Autoradiography - (Feb/22/2011 )

Hi, I am wanting to get some opinions about doing autoradiography using a tritiated (3H) compound--this will be applying it to tissue sections on glass slides, allowing it to bind and then visualizing it. What are your experiences with visualizing tritium autoradiography? Do you prefer film or liquid emulsion? Do you have a favorite brand of either?

i haven't done it but a friend of mine did this for a long time. he used liquid emulsion to visualize tritium incorporation in tissue sections.

You can also use a phosphoimager if you have a machine available (perhaps as a core facility) and a cassette with a tritium screen.
