I know nothing thing about plant biology, but I will start a new project on some aquatic plant

Is there any model organism that used in studying aquatic plant molecular biology ??

Rice (Oriza sativa) and Lemna spp. are the most common water plant models used at my former Faculty.

Perhaps another option could be to work with Chlamydomonas ssp. (green algae), which is also widely used.... but of course, this depends on your research topic! :)
