rna isolation - (Sep/22/2010 )

HI all

I am facing a strange problem regarding the rna isolation , we use Ambio kit for rna isolation and in one of the constituents: wash solution I , there is some salt precipitation as it is observed as clump. When we are using the kit unfortunately yield of rna is zero now. Can anyone please suggest if we can manually prepare the reagent so that the remaining kit can be used or else that has to go to dustbin?

For some solution that precipitates, heating to 37C or higher temperature helps dissolving the precipitate once again, but it's hard to say if this can be used for your solution, you should ask Ambion helpline, usually only they know the contents of their kits.
