mRNA preparation from total RNA - a role of poly A in mRNA preparation from total RNA (Sep/19/2010 )

I am going to do mRNA preparation from total RNA.
In doing this, what is the role of poly A (column)?
Anyone of experts in theories could explain it to me?
Please!!

The kit may be called "poly A" but the column actually contains poly-T beads. A (adenine) is complementary to T (thymine).
If you look for the key features of mRNA you will find out why T polymers are used.
