Discrimination by recruiters? (rant / vent) - Or am I just overreacting? (Sep/14/2010 )
Well this is totally weird!! They can't exactly reject an application from an EU citizen!! Probably you can write to some official government department of UK or EU which deals in labour restrictions!!
I hope they are not concerned about english language proficiency. Also, since they mention 'logistical reasons' I hope they are not dimwitted enough to think that you intend to work from your home country. I wouldn't count on the intelligence of another person and just try mentioning to them that you are willing to move to UK. I also hope they are not dimwitted enough to think that moving to UK is gonna be a big deal!!
Best of luck!!!

I tried to get some help, but - ironically - all organizations offering legal advice do that only if you're resident in the UK...

Since this incident I started to write in my cover letter that I am both willing and able to relocate, just in case.
