Non Mouse / Human Cell Line that is easily transfected - (Aug/13/2010 )

Hi.

Wanted to know if anyone knew of a non mouse / human cell line that is easy to transfect. We are working with both human and mouse cDNA's and would like to express in a cell line that is not of mouse / human origin. We are looking for a cell line that idealy would not express human or mouse proteins. Does anyone know of one and how to obtain? Thank you in advance for any help with this.

You could try insect cell lines, or rat (too similar to mouse?), sheep, or cattle might work. Try the ATCC (atcc.org).
