internal control for genomic DNA - (Jul/30/2010 )

Hi all,

I would really appreciate some suggestions of internal controls I can use in my PCR using genomic DNA as a template.
I am working with human blood or marrow samples looking for chromosomal rearrangements. Is it possible to quantify rearrangement wrto a some sort of housekeeping gene when working with gNDA?

Thanks very much

For the expensive solutions, ABI sells IPC kits if you don't want to make them.
https://products.appliedbiosystems.com/ab/en/US/adirect/ab?cmd=catNavigate2&catID=602714

Or you can use the Quantifiler kit that has everything in it

If you'd rather make your own IPC, just browse the literature. There are plenty published.

Can't respond to the second question, sorry.
