Assay Collagen Crosslink - (Jun/29/2010 )

Hi, I am trying to measure the degree of collagen crosslink in a 3 D tissue construct we created in the lab. I have done some research, and many of the publication pointed to the uses of radioactive-labeled proline. However, our lab does not have a license on using any radioactive materials. Does anyone have recommendation on assays we can run to determine the collagen crosslink or know any place we can send the samples to for measurement?

Thank you,
JHu

What about a comet assay?

Isn't comet assay for DNA damage determination ?

Yes it is, but I think you can also use it to measure crosslinks.

(PS I should mention that I never used the assay myself though  )
