Bacteria and Amaxa - (Jun/29/2010 )

Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone has ever used the Amaxa for electroporation of bacteria? It seems you can't customize the settings, like voltage, resistance etc. The people there ("customer support") have no clue either. There is a programm called bacteria 1-7, but it does not seem to shock... At least there's no DNA goo and no colonies. Any help really appreciated!

Cheers,

Minna

The nucleofector is a complete black box machine ...nobody knows what voltage/resistance/capacity the different programs use, therefore it is somehow hard to apply for this task.

I would use a "real" electroporator that is customizable instead.

I would do that too, if I had one.

But thanks for your feedback, at least I'm not alone.
