Does the tagged-protein always appear at the predicted size? - on western blot (Jun/23/2010 )

I have cloned a gene into a reporter plasmid (EGFP-tagged) and the band I am seeing is 10kDa heavier than what I expected. The band is around 70kDa, but I was expecting 60kDa by my calculations.

Yeah, It is not a problem. Somtimes the run differently when they have a tag. And GFP is quite big, so It affects big time your protein, and it is not unusual to see a different size than expected
