Cryopreservation of tissue in 50mL centrifuge tube (Urgent) - (Jun/08/2010 )
Dear ALL,
I would like to store the tissue in liquid nitrogen tank and the container is 50-mL centrifuge tbe (brand: BD Bioscience). I would like to know whether the centrifuge tube can be stored in that low temperature condition. Also, could anyone suggest me how to perform the controlled rate freezing for the 50-mL centrifuge tube?
Many Thank

is the centrifuge tube limited to low-speed, high-speed or ultra centrifugation grade? In general, non-cryotubes are not recommended for liquid N2...
