hi. i would like to ask how i may know if a gene has a binding site for the N box (CACNAG) or E box (CANNTG).

Well you could get the gene's sequence from a database such as Ensembl, then do a find within Word or similar program for "CAC?AG" and "CA??TG", with wildcards enabled. Or you might be able to do a BLAST or similar search, but using your gene's sequence as the reference sequence... not sure where you can do this, though.
