Laser capture microdissection - capturing single cells (May/19/2010 )
Hi,
Does anybody know how to capture single cells using the arcturus(Veritas) laser capture microdissection? My sections were about 7um on a membrane slides. I have tried many options such as cut and capture or capture and cut at max laser power and various pulse settings. However, the tissue is still not captured in the cap. If anybody has an idea or have used it, any help would be appreciated. thanks.

Hey i did it once..and not very succesfull. I remember that the tissue had to be really really dry, i even dried it overnight in a dessicator.
Contact the firm if you find no answers
Good luck

With Arcturs you have the problem, that the cell should stick onto the heated polymere of the cap. If it is not absolute dry there is no chance to get it. I worked with the CellCut Plus from Molecular Machines and Industries and was very pleased with it.
