Removing sequencing migration artefacts - (Apr/13/2010 )

Has anyone had success using additives in sanger sequencing reactions to remove sequence fragment migration anomalies/artefacts

what kind of artifacts?

what are you seeing?

on what are you visualizing the reaction (machine, gel,...)?

some standard pcr additives (eg- betaine, ethylene glycol, propylene glycol, dmso, etc) work with sequencing difficult templates.
