tri reagent not compatible with plastic? - (Mar/07/2010 )
so on the protocol from sigma it says that TRI reagent is not compatible with plastic culture dishes....but I have no glass dishes! (not enough for my samples, at least)
However, this study (http://www.jbc.org/content/275/7/4949.full) used TRI reagent in t25 flasks.
anyone have experience with TRI reagent and the dish type?
Thanks!

Polypropylene, used for most lab plasticware, is resistant, while the polystyrene used for petri dishes and serological pipets will dissolve.
