macrophage transformation - (Feb/21/2010 )

Does anyone tried to transform fresh macrophages to obtain a cell line with certain MHC haplotype? Would they retain their functions?

It can be done. They may or may not retain all functions you see in the non-transformed, it depends on how altered they are by the transformation.
