18s control in qPCR - (Jan/18/2010 )

I am using 18s as a control in my qPCR. I am using celebellum of 30 days and 60 days old mice and in the 30 days mice, there is a downregulated expression of 18S. why would this occur? any ideas?

Hi How do you know your 18S is decreased? Did you mean when normalized to beta-actin or GAPDH? I have the same problem of normalization. The levels of beta-actin and gapdh are not always the same. So I am trying to run all the housekeeping genes to confirm my results. This sucks. any one knows which is the best? 18s, beta-actin, or gapdh?
