Hi,
i have a problem with the quality of my DNA. This would be important for doing qPCR (background).

Hi susanna,
Just run an agarose gel (1%) with a 25 ng or so of gDNA. Electrophorese and stain with EtBr. A smear will indicate degraded gDNA.

Hi
You could also record a UV spectrum....to get an idea of protein contamination..OD260/280 between 1.7 and 2 would mean that DNA quality is good.
All the best
