cell culture in 2 stack flask - (Nov/25/2009 )

Hello,

I have a question. I am thinking to use 2 stack flasks as i need a lot of cells, it will be good to handle instead of 10 T150 flasks. We are growing cells till 90% confluent and with our microscope, we can see cells in only one level (or stack).
So can i assume as cells are 90% confluent in one level, they are 90% in other too?

I saw sometimes same cell line differentially grows in different flasks. so wanted to get clear about this.

You can't just assume the same confluency... perhaps you need to think about counting the cells or some other quantitation method so as to make your experiments consistent, if you want to use these flasks.
