High Throughput Microplate Screening - (Nov/17/2009 )

I've always heard about putting in ~1cell/well in a 96-well or 384-well microplate. How can you really be sure that the well really contain 1 cell?

Well, you can try to check it under the light microscope with the shutter closed or under fluorescence microscope.

Oh, is that the only way? Is there like some special equipment for such tasks? Cuz 384-wells in 1 plate is a lot...and I don't just have one plate to verify...lol

i ve never heard of people verifying if there is 1 cell/well. The addition is based on the cell count and subsequent dilution so that the well has a cell/well!!!
i ve never done this hands though!!!
