Try Weasel, a free, java-based program to analyse FACS data. I've used it, it's not as good as the commercial programs but it is free and has great functionality once you get used to it!

Sorry you're right. It's shareware, but there is no timer on it, so there is no technical problem with using it indefinitely, only a moral problem.
Cytomation Summit I think is free!
Hi Blotted, Where can we download that from? Googled it but could not find anywhere to download from though it sounds like free.

The software is from Dako, but I don't know if you can find here, because I get from the flow cytometry facility core of my university. Try in the website:
http://www.dako.com/
Normally I think that they distribute the software with cytometers, so maybe you should ask to your facility core responsible.
I looked around in that site already. Didn't have a clue. Will try again.
How good is it?
Better than WinMDI? I am looking for a free WinMDI alternative. None yet!
Somehow the development of free flow cytometry analysis softwares have been very quiet (compared to e.g. microscopy: for instance ImageJ and BioimageXD, both open source projects).
Now I'm trying to do my part to change this. Check Flowing Software:
http://www.flowingsoftware.com
It's the project for developing new, innovative tool for flow cytometry data analysis. All basic tools are available, but you can go much further; the main goal is to develop easy ways for effective, but easy high throughput analysis.
Yes, it's free!
Perttu, Thank U for this. I will try it out and give U a feedback soon.
