Mitochondrial genome copy numbers - (Nov/04/2009 )

Hello everybody

Do someone have any idea what is the mitochondrial genome copy numbers (in one cell) on average in C elegans?
It's a bit weird question I think but still I need to know this since I've to subtract the mitochondrial DNA base pairs from isolated total DNA to know only the nuclear genome content.

i would think that you would just need to know the sizes of the mitochondrial and genomic dna and separate them on a gel.
