Isoelectric Point - (Sep/23/2009 )

May i know what is the Isoelectric point (pI) for anti-Digoxigenin antibody?

What is the method to determine the pI for a protein?

the method to determine the pI of a protein is isoelectric focusing. calculated pIs do not take into consideration post translational modifications and 3d interactions, among other factors.

to be more precise exact pI can be determined by non denaturing IEF and theoritical pI can be calculated using Expasy by just feeding in the aa sequence and as mdfenko says, it will not consider other aspects which might alter the pI
Alternatively for quantitative determination of pI, CE can be used.
