Saos-2 cells transfection - (May/12/2006 )

Hi all

I am wondering if anyone has experiences in transfection using Saos-2 cells and Fugene 6. What's the optimal cell number to set up in a 6 well plate for 24 hour transfection? This kind of cell seems to tend to grow very slow.

I have used Fugene 6 for transfecting 293FT cells. They work nice. But I am not sure abt Saos-2 cells that you are using.

For 293FT cells, I plate 800,000 cells per well in a 6 well plate, 24 hrs prior to transfection.
