Oral Presentation - Symposium Presentation - Difference? (Jun/30/2009 )

Is it just the given time that will be different?

Which is better to go for if U have to make a choice?

Silly question but what is the difference between a oral presentation and a symposium presentation? How do you define this?

that's the question.

To me, an oral presentation sounds like an individual effort (powerpoint slides, questions and answers at the end kind of thing), whereas in a symposium presentation, you'd perhaps be one of a panel of people discussing the same subject, or perhaps one of several presenters talking about the same subject.

Compare the definitions of "colloquium" and "symposium".
