Western background - (Sep/16/2005 )

Hi, my western has a high background, and a strange one... there are a lot of spots, like circles, they resemble bubbles... does anybody have an idea of what it is?

Bubbles - it could be the bubbles of air between the gel and membrane during transfer. I always roll several times my sandwich (on the Whatman side) with the glass or plastic pipette of 10 ml, like housewife do with the ravioli pastry, before to put it into the transfer container

But don't exagerate your strenght or you'll end up with deformed gels.
