I always don't understand fully the difference between suicide plasmid and replicating plasmid. Is there any body pleasure to explain them?

I meant that both replicating plasmid and suicide plasmid can be used as a gene knockout tool. As he said, the suicide plasmid can't replicate in host cell that leads to easily be selected by marker. So, why someone would like to use replicating plasmid to knockout gene?
